I was aware about two main things that interested me:
Drumming and drawing.

There was that one thing that seemed to be pretty abundant then, being the most elusive of them all:
Time. I had lots of it, and It appeared to me as if that would never change.

The computer was then still a new addition to the family. A puppy. Internet was still slow. The only uses I had for that box seemed to be Computer games and general browsing (ehem). About five years later that started to change rapidly; Software interested me in a completely different way and so did the web and all that could be done with it. My ‘powers’ were divided pretty evenly between the drums and the computer, but i still felt that i had lots of time. Never-ending time.

Once big changes started, it went all so fast. Started semi-formal art studies. Sent work examples. Got accepted to a full-time job in a design firm. Dropped out of studies. Moved on to a new job to work on what would be my main profession: Mobile graphics.
Thinking about it now, it seems to me almost as if that was barely a month ago. Well, it was barely 8 Years ago.

Something very fundamental has changed since then:

Time got really elusive.

Sometimes i think that one of the toughest tasks in my life is to just keep holding onto something for the long-term, sticking to it. Or maybe that’s the optimistic term for not giving up?
Anyway, back to the Subjects’ title: I haven’t been traveling much in the last 4 Years, largely due to work obstructing me, time-wise (I’m not including work-related ‘travel’, mind you; These have been scarce and never longer than 2 days max).
However, in November last year, due to myself entering the thirties and feeling mundane (understatement), i’ve decided to give myself an early birthday present and travel to rome, in order to fulfill myself the dream of seeing one of my favorite bands live.
Not Sure if the traveling virus has me, but two months ago i’ve been to Egypt, and tomorrow i’m gonna be flying to Germany, apparently.
I’m very excited, for at least two reasons: First, – i miss Germany. Miss the language, the vibes, the country. Secondly, i’m going to Berlin. Never before have i been to Berlin, not even during the 8 Years of my youth that i spent there.
“Berlin”, they say, “you’re gotta love it”.

Oh and by the way. Who knows, maybe i’ll have a chance to sketch some, over there.

And due to me being pretty sure that i’m not going to fly abroad anytime soon, i should sell this very suitcase. I should as well give up the vacuum cleaner. Who’s vacuum-cleaning anyways? Must be some habit i inherited from my parents. Around here in Israel, so i’m told, one uses a broom and a mop.

Haven’t been looking at the collection of comics and graphic novels for years, they serve no purpose besides attracting dust. Sentiments is a nice thing, but everything is available anyways – on the net. That goes for sentiments as well.
The trusty laundry machine has been doing its job well so far, but i still have to dry the laundry by hanging it in the apartment, and since living in the Tel-aviv Ghetto, might as well fit in as one of the other bubble kids and sit once a week at the laundromat in Ben-yehuda street. When i drive by on the bicycle, there’s always that fresh flowery smell. Speaking of that bicycle…

This table here is old-fashioned and ugly, and that chair is breaking my back. I sit on one like that for most of my waking hours, so i’d rather throw its clone outta here, out of my castle.
And what about the bed?
I don’t even want to sleep here. I want to sleep on the bench in the boulevard, where you can hear the bats having nightly disco parties, where you can listen to people saying, or listen to people asking, or just listen.
I want you to sit beside me on the bench, and tell me a story.
Then you’ll put your hand on my shoulder and whisper in my ear that it’s time to go home.
